Abū-Sa'īd al-Khudrī said, "We used to travel with the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, while some among us were fasting and some were not. Those who were not fasting would not be angry at those who were; nor would those who were fasting be angry at those who were not. They used to regard whoever had the strength to fast and did so, as having done well; and likewise used to regard whoever felt weak and did not fast, as having done well."
