ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Whoever shields his (1) brother's honor (from slander), God will shield his face from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection." Footnotes: 1. Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب الأضاحى باب ما جاء ما يستحب من الأضاحى

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِى سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِىِّ قَالَ ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِكَبْشٍ أَقْرَنَ فَحِيلٍ يَأْكُلُ فِى سَوَادٍ وَيَمْشِى فِى سَوَادٍ وَيَنْظُرُ فِى سَوَادٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ.
