‘Ā'ishah [Bint-Abī-Bakr aṣ-Ṣiḍḍīq] reported that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, performed a Single Pilgrimage (1). (1) (Ḥajj al-Ifrād): A form of the pilgrimage where pilgrims intend to perform their pilgrimage alone without coupling it with the voluntary rituals of ‘Umrah. In this form of the pilgrimage, it is not obligatory on pilgrims to sacrifice a domestic animal, yet it is desirable. Other forms of the pilgrimage are the Paired Pilgrimage and the Unconnected Pilgrimage.
