Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب السير باب ما جاء فى سهم الخيل
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّىُّ وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَسَمَ فِى النَّفَلِ لِلْفَرَسِ بِسَهْمَيْنِ وَلِلرَّجُلِ بِسَهْمٍ.
When dividing war bounty,The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, gave two shares for the horse and one share for the man (1). Footnote: 1. This gives every man with a horse three shares: two for his horse and one for himself.
