Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب البيوع باب ما جاء فى الرخصة فى الشراء إلى أجل
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِى عَدِىٍّ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ تُوُفِّىَ النَّبِىُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَدِرْعُهُ مَرْهُونَةٌ بِعِشْرِينَ صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ أَخَذَهُ لأَهْلِهِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
When the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, died, his shield was [still] pawned(1) for twenty ṣā's (2) of food that he had taken to his family.
(1) i.e., the shield was still being held from before the prophet's death, available to be redeemed. (2) a dry measure equivalent to approximately 2600 grams.
