ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ A man came to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, and asked him about the Last Hour (1). The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, got up to pray. After completing his prayer, he asked, "Where is the one who asked about the Last Hour?" The man replied, "It was I, Messenger of God." The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man replied, "Messenger of God, I have not prepared for it much prayer or fasting, but I do love God and his Messenger." The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "A person will be with whom he (2) loves, and you will be with whom you love." Anas then narrated that he did not see the Muslims rejoice at anything more after embracing Islam than they did at this [statement]. Footnotes: (1) The Last Hour in which the world will come to an end and the Day of Judgment will begin. (2) Masculine pronouns are generally used in Arabic as a means for referring to both men and women when the meaning is left general and is not otherwise specified. ”
