حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ الصَّوَّافِ عَنْ أَبِى الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ. غُرِسَتْ لَهُ نَخْلَةٌ فِى الْجَنَّةِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِى الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ.
The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Whoever says, 'Exalted is God, The Great, with all praise due to Him,' has a palm tree planted for him (1) in Paradise." The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Whoever says, 'Exalted is God with all praise due to Him' one hundred times, [in a day (1)] has his (2) sins forgiven, even if they were as abundant as sea foam." حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ عَنْ أَبِى زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ رضى الله عنه قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَلِمَتَانِ خَفِيفَتَانِ عَلَى اللِّسَانِ ثَقِيلَتَانِ فِى الْمِيزَانِ حَبِيبَتَانِ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ. قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ سُمَىٍّ عَنْ أَبِى صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِى وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ فِى يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ كَانَتْ لَهُ عِدْلَ عَشْرِ رِقَابٍ وَكُتِبَتْ لَهُ مِائَةُ حَسَنَةٍ وَمُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ مِائَةُ سَيِّئَةٍ وَكَانَ لَهُ حِرْزًا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ يَوْمَهُ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يُمْسِىَ وَلَمْ يَأْتِ أَحَدٌ بِأَفْضَلَ مِمَّا جَاءَ بِهِ إِلاَّ أَحَدٌ عَمِلَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ.
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Whoever says, 'There is no God but Allāh (1), alone. He has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and all praise is due to Him. He gives life and He takes life, and He is over all things competent' a hundred times a day earns the reward of freeing ten slaves (2), a hundred good deeds are recorded for him (3), a hundred evil deeds are erased from his record and it will protect him from Satan throughout that day until the evening, and no one comes with a better deed, but he who has done more." Footnotes: (1) Allāh is the Arabic name for the One and Only God, the same God shared by all monotheistic faiths (the name Allāh is often used by Arabic-speaking Christians and Jews). The name Allāh encompasses all the divine names and attributes of the Lord of the worlds, and hence has vast scopes of meaning. It is for this reason that Muslims consider it unique. Unlike the word 'God', Allāh in Arabic has no inflections of gender or number. (2) Slavery existed throughout the known world at the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him. Islām encouraged freeing slaves and gave them certain rights as members of the household.
