ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, stood in the noon prayer[1] when he should have remained sitting. So, when he completed his prayer, before pronouncing the salutation, he prostrated twice from the seated position, saying in each prostration, "God is the greatest," and the people prostrated with him, to replace the [act of] sitting that he had forgotten. Footnotes: [1]: (Thuhr) second prescribed prayer of the day. ”
