ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Shall I tell you about the gravest of the grave sins?" We replied, "Yes, Messenger of God." He said, "Associating [partners] with God and being undutiful towards parents." He then sat up from his leaning position and said, "And false testimony or false statement!" The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, kept repeating it until we wished he would stop. ”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَالَ مَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ وَحَسُنَ عَمَلُهُ. وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ وَجَابِرٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
