ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ Ziyād Ibn-'Ilāqah said, "Al-Mughīrah Ibn-Shu'bah led us in prayer. When he finished two units of prayer, he stood up without sitting (and reciting the greetings invocation(1)). People behind him uttered exaltation of God (to draw his attention to the forgotten part), but he gestured to them to stand up. When he finished his prayer, he pronounced the salutation, made the two prostrations of forgetfulness, pronounced the salutation [again], and said, 'This is what the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, did.'" Footnotes: (1) In the second unit of prayer, after the prostration, a special invocation is recited. ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy

A man passed by Ḥuṯẖayfah Ibnul-Yamān so he was told that the man relates people's conversations to leaders. Ḥuṯẖayfah then said, "I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, say, 'A talebearer does not enter Paradise.'" Click on ḥadīth to read more
