ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "When one of you stands in prayer, he should not smooth away pebbles [on the ground], for indeed, he is in the presence of mercy."[1] Footnotes: [1] i.e. During prayer, any movement that is not part of the prayer distracts from one's focus on worshipping God. Therfore, when you smooth away the ground you are distracted from God, the source of mercies received in prayer. ”
