ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Whoever interprets the Qur'ān in [light of] his (1) own opinion, even if correct, has nonetheless erred (2)." Footnotes: 1- Masculine pronouns are generally used in Arabic as a means for referring to both men and women, when the meaning is left general and is not otherwise specified. 2- This is an admonition against the interpretation of the Qur'ān without sound religious knowledge and understanding. ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب الصلاة باب ما جاء فى التشهد

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِىُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّى مِنَ اللَّيْلِ تِسْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ. قَالَ وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَالْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
