ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Congregational prayer is twenty-seven times more meritorious than the prayer of a man by himself (1)." Footnote (1): This means that the recorded merit of congregational prayer is twenty-seven times that of a solitary prayer. ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب الصلاة باب ما جاء فى النهى عن القراءة فى الركوع والسجود

حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ التِّرْمِذِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَكْعَتَا الْفَجْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا. قَالَ وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِىٍّ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ. وَقَدْ رَوَى أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ التِّرْمِذِىِّ حَدِيثَ عَائِشَةَ.
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "The two units of [voluntary] prayer at dawn[1] are better than the world and what it holds."
