ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, “Listening and obeying (1) is imperative for a Muslim both in matters he (2) likes and dislikes so long as he is not ordered to disobey God. If ordered to disobey God, then he is neither to listen nor obey.” Footnotes: (1) i.e. those in authority. (2) Masculine pronouns are generally used in Arabic as a means for referring to both men and women when the meaning is left general and is not otherwise specified. ”
