ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Smiling at your brother counts for you (1) as a charitable deed, promoting good and warding off evil and harm is a charitable deed, guiding a lost person in an unmarked land counts for you as a charitable deed, helping someone with poor eyesight counts for you as a charitable deed, removing a stone, a thorn, or a bone from the road counts for you as a charitable deed, and pouring water from your bucket into that of your brother counts for you as a charitable deed." Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب السير باب ما جاء فى سهم الخيل

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّىُّ وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَسَمَ فِى النَّفَلِ لِلْفَرَسِ بِسَهْمَيْنِ وَلِلرَّجُلِ بِسَهْمٍ.
When dividing war bounty,The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, gave two shares for the horse and one share for the man (1). Footnote: 1. This gives every man with a horse three shares: two for his horse and one for himself. Click on ḥadīth to read more
