ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ ʻAbdullāh Ibn-ʻAmr Ibnul-ʻĀṣ related, “We were fixing our hut when the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, passed by and asked, ‘What is this?’ We replied, ‘It has become weak, and we are repairing it’. He said, ‘I only see the term as being sooner than that (1).’” Footnotes: (1) i.e. death could befall them even sooner than the collapse of the hut. ”

The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, sacrificed two black and white(1) horned rams. He slaughtered them by his own hands, saying, "In the name of God, God is the greatest," and placing his leg on their [right] side [as he did so]. Footnotes: (1) more white than black in color.
