حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ الْخُزَاعِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِى جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ كُنْتُ أَرْمِى نَخْلَ الأَنْصَارِ فَأَخَذُونِى فَذَهَبُوا بِى إِلَى النَّبِىِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَافِعُ لِمَ تَرْمِى نَخْلَهُمْ. قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْجُوعُ. قَالَ لاَ تَرْمِ وَكُلْ مَا وَقَعَ أَشْبَعَكَ اللَّهُ وَأَرْوَاكَ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.
Rāfi' Ibn-'Amr said, "I used to throw [stones or the like] at the palm trees of al-Anṣār (Supporters of Madīnah), so they took me to the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him. He asked me, 'Rāfi', what makes you stone the palm trees?' I replied, 'Hunger, Messenger of God.' حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم سُئِلَ عَنِ الثَّمَرِ الْمُعَلَّقِ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَصَابَ مِنْهُ مِنْ ذِى حَاجَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَّخِذٍ خُبْنَةً فَلاَ شَىْءَ عَلَيْهِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.
