Rāfi' Ibn-'Amr said, "I used to throw [stones or the like] at the palm trees of al-Anṣār (Supporters of Madīnah), so they took me to the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him. He asked me, 'Rāfi', what makes you stone the palm trees?' I replied, 'Hunger, Messenger of God.'
