ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Procrastination (delay) in paying debts by a wealthy person is injustice; and if your debt is transferred (by the debtor) to a rich debtor (1), you should agree." Footnotes: (1) Debt Transfer is legitimate in Islam. ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب البيوع باب ما جاء فى أكل الربا

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ. قَالَ وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنْ عُمَرَ وَعَلِىٍّ وَجَابِرٍ وَأَبِى جُحَيْفَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, cursed the person that receives interest (1), the one that pays it, the two witnesses and the one that documents it. Footnotes: (1) Interest, which is prohibited in Islam, is an added charge related to the loan of money or property; it is a complex topic in Islamic jurisprudence, and has a variety of definitions depending on the type of transaction.
