ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, used to grant the vanguard detachement, after an opening battle, a quarter of the war bounty, and after a reengagement battle, a third of the war bounty (1). Footnote: (1) The group of soldiers sent to start the confrontation with the enemy is selectively entitled to a quarter of the war bounty attained from that conflict as an extra share. The remaining three quarters are then shared with the rest of the army. If they are sent to reengage, they are entitled to a third of the war bounty attained from that conflict as an extra share. The reason being, the enemy is now aware of the danger and anticipating. ”
