حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِى عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ أَبِى قَابُوسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الرَّاحِمُونَ يَرْحَمُهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ ارْحَمُوا مَنْ فِى الأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِى السَّمَاءِ الرَّحِمُ شُجْنَةٌ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلَهُ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعَهُ اللَّهُ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "The merciful [among you] will receive the mercy of [God] the All-Merciful; have mercy on those on Earth to receive the mercy of those in the heavens (1). Kinship stems from the All-Merciful (2); so whoever preserves its ties, God will preserve ties with him; and whoever cuts them off, God will cut him out [of his mercy]." Footnotes: (1) This may mean God or it may mean the angels whose mercy upon the believers is to pray for them and ask God to forgive them. (2) The word kinship in Arabic (ar-Ra ḥim) and the word All-Merciful (ar-Raḥmān) have the same root (raḥima) to be merciful. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِى صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الدِّينُ النَّصِيحَةُ. ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ. قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لِمَنْ قَالَ لِلَّهِ وَلِكِتَابِهِ وَلأَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَعَامَّتِهِمْ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ. وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَتَمِيمٍ الدَّارِىِّ وَجَرِيرٍ وَحَكِيمِ بْنِ أَبِى يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَثَوْبَانَ.
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Religion is willingness (1)." He repeated this three times. The Companions asked, "Towards whom, Messenger of God?" حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْبَاطِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُرَشِىُّ حَدَّثَنِى أَبِى عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِى صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لاَ يَخُونُهُ وَلاَ يَكْذِبُهُ وَلاَ يَخْذُلُهُ كُلُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَامٌ عِرْضُهُ وَمَالُهُ وَدَمُهُ التَّقْوَى هَا هُنَا بِحَسْبِ امْرِئٍ مِنَ الشَّرِّ أَنْ يَحْتَقِرَ أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ. قَالَ أَبُوعِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ. وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِىٍّ وَأَبِى أَيُّوبَ.
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "A Muslim to a Muslim is a brother (1): He should neither betray him, nor lie to him, nor desert him. All belongings of a Muslim are sacrosanct to another Muslim: his honor, his wealth, and his blood. Mindfulness of God is here (in the heart) (2). It is evil enough for a person to look down upon his Muslim brother." حَدَّثَنِى أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ مِرْآةُ أَخِيهِ فَإِنْ رَأَى بِهِ أَذًى فَلْيُمِطْهُ عَنْهُ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَيَحْيَى بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ضَعَّفَهُ شُعْبَةُ. قَالَ وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ.
